In Kargil district
the Schedule Tribes of Ladakh region constitute about 99% of the total population of the
district. Thus the benefit of the plans in the district squarely flow to the Schedule
Tribes which is healthy sign and can improve a lot for the schedule tribes in the district
so as to bring them at par with the other communities on a sound footing of equality.
