On launch of redesigned Website www.kargil.gov.in on 20.09.2016
In this Era of Information Technology, it is a matter of pride and gives me immense pleasure to re-launch the new version of official website of District Kargil. The website is enriched with contents covering various modules and aspects of district Kargil like district profile, district at a glance, administrative setup, who is who, RTI, PSGA, District Plan, Tourist information, activities of departments, circulars and orders, telephone directory and other information related to the district. The photo gallery of some important places, traditional dresses, art and culture has also been included in the website.
This is a step forward towards improving public interface of the administration for bringing about a transparency. The website would be updated from time to time and suggestions, if any, from users for improving its contents would be highly appreciated.
The website is designed and developed by Iftikhar Hussain, District Informatics Associate under the guidance of P. Paldan, District Informatics Officer of NIC District Centre, Kargil. I would like to appreciate them for their work rendered for designing, development and launching of new version of website in such a short time span.
I hope http://kargil.gov.in serves the purpose for which it is being launched.
