Activities

There are 54 Nos. of sanctioned Sale Centres and 58 Nos. of Sale Centres running by internal adjustment in this District and Food grains i.e. Rice, Atta, Sugar, Salt and Kerosene Oil are being distributed to the General Public and Govt. Employees on ration tickets under Public Distribution System.
Total number of rationees in this District is about 1.20 lacs.
10,158 families are getting BPL ration at 35 Kgs Rice / Atta on subsidized rates i.e. Rice 6.25 Atta 5.00 per Kgs.
Under Antodaya Annayojna Scheme 1700 families are getting ration @ 35 Kgs per R.T. at the rate of Rs. 3.00 Rice, Atta 2.00 per Kg.
Under Annapurna Scheme 250 Senior Citizens are getting ration free of cost @ of Rice 5 Kgs and Atta 5 Kgs.
59 Nos. of Govt. Godowns for storage of foodgrains have been constructed at various sale centres of District including dumping stores, through PWD and CDNES Department under District Plan and CSS Schemes.
110 Nos. K.Oil Storage tanks have been installed for storage of K.Oil at various sale centres of this District.
There is freight subsidy on Food grains and Sugar and as such uniform rate is charged from the rationees at all the sale centres.
On average 50,000 Qtls of Rice, 50,000 Qtls of Atta, 7,000 Qtls of Sugar and 18 Lacs Lts. of Kerosnen Oil is lifted annually by the rationees of the District.
