Joined as Deputy Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer, LAHDC, Kargil in May 2008. My priority will be implementation of all works as approved by LAHDC, Kargil. It has been observed that in the preceding year %age of plan expenditure was just 65%. Though we have constraints of short working season but my endeavor will be to achieve maximum so that funds allotted for the welfare of people in general are expended fully to the benefit of the people of the District. Education, Road connectivity and health facility are the thrust areas of our development plan. Though potential of irrigating 10,000 hac. of land has already been created but the same is not exploited fully. Our aim will be to utilize the already created potential and augment the same wherever possible.

          The District has vast  potential in Horticulture and Agriculture. Value addition in our Horticulture produce is also a priority and a number of initiatives have been taken in this regard. Vegetable production is also being enhanced by providing implements and incentives to the people.  Stress shall be made to overcome the difficulties in providing irrigation to the drought prone areas to save Agriculture/Horticulture produces.
